And sorry about the font colours, I still suck at the moment :P
Character/Pairing: Nao / Hinted Kai/Nao, Nao/Saga
Word Count: Too lazy.
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
4. Do 10 of these, then post.
01. Brianstorm – Arctic Monkeys
“We can’t take our eyes off the T-shirt and tie combinations.”
He walks through the crowded club, loving how he can attract so much attention in such a hectic place.
Young women and even some of the men stare after him as he walks by, admiring his seemingly effortless beauty, wishing they knew more than just his name. The young man gives a two-fingered salute as he approaches his friends.
Nao smiles, Saga attracts way too much attention.
02. Have I Been A Fool? – Jack Peñate
“Have I been a fool? Just say.”
Nao sighs as he sits at the table at the window that was meant for two people. He stares at the rich brown liquid in his mug, the coffee he felt he needed just minutes ago now the last thing he wanted. He knew he was wrong, but surely he wasn’t the only one who was out of line. He hears footsteps come to a stop. Nothing is said, but Nao knows who the person is. Feeling their gaze on his back, he turns, and for the first time in 3 days, a smile comes to his face.
03. Dear – Miyavi
“Like a bird, like a wind…”
His eyes soften as the haze of sleep leaves him and he turns his attention to his kouhai laying next to him. Eyes are shut and there’s a small smile upon his lips and it makes him wonder briefly what he’s dreaming of. Messy brown hair is sticking up in every direction, some strands framing a round face, before his gaze travels lower to find a smooth neck joined to exposed shoulders before the white bed sheets begin and prevent him from seeing more of the beautiful sight before him. Time seems to be lost before suddenly, eyes are blinking open, though the owner is still half asleep. Kai strokes the younger’s hair and smiles – he loves Nao on a morning.
04. He Wasn’t – Avril Lavigne
“I sit on my bed alone, staring at the phone.”
Nao casts one more glare to his cell phone before collapsing backwards onto his soft bed, arms and legs splayed wide in exasperation. Closing his eyes as he lets himself sink into the sheets, he muses that this is kind of what it felt like to be wrapped safely in his arms. He doesn’t care that he didn’t call.
05. Dance, Dance – Fall Out Boy
“Dance dance, and these are the lives you’d love to lead”
Bodies sway in the club he knows he shouldn’t really be in. But the music is playing and the people are dancing and Nao knows he can’t walk out now, no way. So he orders a drink and it isn’t long until he spots a face in the crowd. Slamming his empty class against the counter, he pushes himself off the comfy bar stool and into the crowd of people. Greetings are conveyed through the eyes and bodies begin to move in a rhythm that isn’t necessarily the one pumping through the speakers, but one that only they can hear. A smile, and then lips move towards each other before they engage in a kiss, hidden by the strangers surrounding them.
06. Tambourine – Eve
“Shake your tambourine move it quicker, quicker”
Nao liked being the drummer: it meant he had an excuse to mess around with other forms of percussion, today’s new instrument being a rather attractive orange tambourine. And as he fools around with said object; tapping a beat whilst shaking his hips to the rhythm, Shou enters the room and Nao doesn’t try to hide his confused expression as Shou comments on how Nao can shake his tambourine much better than that American woman.
07. I Slept With Someone in Fall Out Boy… - Fall Out Boy
“I found the cure to growing older.”
Nao smiles as he hears the familiar sound of the opening chords of a certain Fall Out Boy song through he earphones. He taps out a beat on the wall he’s leaning against, and notices that its cold enough outside the PS Company building for a cloud of warm air to appear when he breathes out. He moves off the wall to adjust his scarf just as the chorus kicks in, and he can’t help it, he begins to move his body slightly to the music. He hears someone clearing their throat behind him and he turns, giving an embarrassed smile to the man behind him.
8. Kill The Director – The Wombats
“If this is a rom-com, kill the director!”
Nao hides his chuckle behind his Styrofoam cup of Starbuck’s coffee as Saga says something rather scatterbrained. Saga turns and glares and as he asks what Nao finds so amusing, the other sinks further into his chair, smile still evident in his eyes before mumbling a simple ‘nothing’.
09. This Suffering – Billy Talent
“I can’t pretend this time.”
Sliding down the wall and onto the floor, one hand hides his face as the other holds the bottle of wine in a death grip. He wasn’t sharing it with anyone tonight – he never had and he probably never would. This thought brought a new wave of depression that made him abandon the idea of using a glass all together, drinking straight from the bottle allowed him to consume more anyway and consequently make him forget quicker. Saga was there, every day; a little reminder that no matter how close they were, Nao could never have him in the way he wanted. How could he love someone so much yet despise them so much?
10.Surrender – Billy Talent
“Surrender yourself to me.”
Eyes clenched shut as arms gripped the shaking body before him. Sobs wracked through Saga’s body and Nao held him tighter, burying his face in the other’s hair before letting out a shaky breath of his own. How could anyone hurt his precious Saga? Why would anyone want to see him cry? The thoughts leave him for now as he turns his attention once more to his friend and secret love. He stroked the man’s hair as he began to calm down.
Nao hated these times the worst. He was so close to him, and yet he was always so far.
